Think we're arguing 2 sides of the same coin. A code of conduct is definitely a good thing. I just don't think that the IAB have the experience or the teeth to enforce it. I applaud the effort though, the first steps are the hardest to take.

Hey Stephen ;0)

I would say anything that may protect affiliates from a myriad of woefully inadequate and open to abuse ts & cs has got to be supported.

Do I think it should be the IAB?, of course not!

The Ts and Cs as I highlighted in the James Avery post indicate that these offer no protection at all. Having read all the networks ts and cs, they all need to be looked at and all need to be reviewed. Who is going to negotiate this.

Gone is the day when publishers/affiliates have to fight for the commissions they are owed. Gone is the day when an affiliate can be kicked out of a program for nothing more then getting annoyed because he/she has not been paid. A zero tolerance stance must and should be adopted.

If the IAB can make this happen, then surely this is a good thing? I can’t knock the IAB/ANC before it's even started, as I have no idea how its going to work.

I hear you and agree in part with what you say

Thanks for stopping by :0)
