The reasoning behind this is linked in to the speed in which consumers can browse shop and buy, better product descriptions, easy returns equating to less risk.<\/p>\n<p>Here in the UK on line Fashion figures (jan 2007) hit \u00a31billion at a growth rate of 461% (recorded by <a href=\"http:\/\/news.bbc.co.uk\/1\/hi\/business\/6316619.stm\">mintel<\/a> and is predicted to grow in the UK by a further 138% by 2011) Again this is attributed to faster internet connection, online businesses addressing the problems of translating their products to their consumers.<\/p>\n<p>Confidence in the internet is growing and online businesses are getting more and more internet business savvy, they are starting to realise that a good website, navigation, with strong product images, descriptions and the all important sizing, returns and good customer service is the key.<\/p>\n<p>With many online fashion shops shipping abroad, this throws open the doors for affiliates to promote cross border online fashion stores in order to monetise their traffic. Now if we could just get the networks to help us out and educate a few merchants, that having cross border affiliates would be useful and the playing field becomes a whole lot bigger.<\/p>\n<p>Do consumers buy from abroad?<br \/>\nYes they do!<br \/>\nI do, my kids do, we have stats from discoo and truffleshuffle and Designerpitstop, EBTM too.<\/p>\n<p>In some cases shipping can take less time getting from the UK to USA, then from LA to New York.
