Not much work was done that day, we were glued to the BBC and CNN websites, If I remember correctly, I believe the sheer volume of users on both websites caused the sites to go down intermittently.<\/p>\n<p>Canary Warf had been evacuated and our two guests, who had come from there to see us, were momentarily stranded. What unfolded on this day did shake the world, America was not as impenetrable as we all assumed. America that day was brought to its knees and we could only watch in horror and feel so totally useless that we could not help the innocent civilians caught up in a war they had nothing to do with, but that\u2019s the one common denominator of war, its usually the civilians that end up being caught in the middle.<\/p>\n<p>Today, for me it is not just about remembering all those lives that were lost or changed for ever, today is about remembering every one, past and present that have lost their lives and families destroyed in the name of religion, land and politics.<\/p>\n<p>Sobering thought, we may never know peace in our lifetime, yet the majority of the world seek it and want it.<\/p>\n<p>We do have one thing and that is &#8220;Hope&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Remember!<\/p>\n<p><\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Can you remember where you were when the news broke that an aeroplane had slammed into the world trade centre?I was working at affiliatewindow.com, we had the radio on and we all were listening to the reports as they were coming in.
