The trouble with Search Engine Optimization is that it changes so much! And many SEO experts disagree about what is or isn\u2019t important. So where does that leave you?! If you\u2019re not a programmer or web designer, it can be tricky getting the hang of linking, but in this section we\u2019ve tried to make it easy for you. We\u2019ve split it into basic and deep linking to assist you.<\/p>\n

To make basic or deep links use the Link Matrix tool. You\u2019ll find this on the home page under Useful Tools in a right hand menu box. Once you click on this tool it will take you to a page with a drop down box \u201cSelect Site\u201d. If you have more than one registered site you can select the relevant one here. Once you have done that, scan down the list of merchant names at the bottom of the page until you find the one you are looking for.<\/p>\n

Basic Links<\/p>\n

Click the \u201ctext link\u201d next to the merchant\u2019s name and you will be taken to a basic text link that you can copy and paste.<\/p>\n

Deep Links<\/p>\n

Click the \u2018yes\u2019 under the Deep Links column on the right hand side. You will be taken to a deep link that you can copy and paste into your web page. Once you have done that, you need to replace \u201cTarget_URL\u201d in the link with the URL of the product page you want to link to. Go to the product page, copy the URL from that page, and then paste it in place of \u201cTarget_URL\u201d in the link.<\/p>\n

If you\u2019re not already using them, Google have some really useful free webmaster tools that you should check out <\/span>https:\/\/www.google.com\/accounts\/ServiceLogin?service=sitemaps&nui=1&continue=https:\/\/www.google.com\/webmasters\/tools\/siteoverview%3Fhl%3Den&hl=en<\/span><\/a>Use them to see how Google views your site and check out whether there are any potential problems. You can also find out how your site is performing and how users are finding your site \u2013 invaluable for finding ways to drive more traffic to your site.<\/span>Resize those images with ease!<\/p>\n

Check out this great tool at download.com. Nail Gun Thumbnail Creator 2.4 is free to download and try and costs $9.95 to purchase so not too expensive if you like it. Use it to process a list of full size images into thumbnail pictures. This could be a real time saver. Provides step by step instructions while using the program.<\/p>\n
