TruffleShuffle converting at 11.5% and climbing
Affiliates have generated £83.5K worth of sales since mid December, conversions are a very decent 11.5% via affiliates. We have entered the Affiliatewindow.com league table and are in position 13 in our category. We offer 12% on all referred sales and 90 day cookie. You cant bid on the name via google only, everything else is fair game, the program is run through affiliatewindow.com The name TruffleShuffle.co.uk for those that don’t know, is the dance performed by the character Chunk from The Goonies. The business model is based on 80’s iconic t-shirts, accessories and gifts, specialising in music, film, cartoons (one of our affiliates), computer games and all things 80’s. They stock brands like Amplified, Joystick Junkies, Junk Food and Wornby.The Company was formed by Pat Wood and his partner Claire Lewis. They started out with just £10.00, their first warehouse was a small room in their house and they used to have a paypal store, its one of those stories that you hear about but cant fathom (term back bedroom business). The website is OS commerce that has been customised, so. Pat is as sharp as a razor and comes from a data systems background. He realises that there is still some work to be done re organic SEO and still has a bit to learn about PPC.. but overall he gets it. Claire is just a walking PR machine, she understands this side of things very well indeed which is why their PR is so great. The two of them are in essence, working in harmony and compliment each others marketing and tech skills, rather then fighting against each other. They have got the right products and most of what is needed to drive the business forward is there. Their success did not happen over night its been building up gradually. They are great to work with and their enthusiasm for their affiliate program is refreshing. Pat and Claire are the young couple to watch, they are truely going places, hats off to them…they work hard at getting the website and products right and in my opinion, deserve everything they get :0)
