LoveHoney.co.uk love affiliates we love their new links
What makes a great affiliate program, great products and great site conversions are always good, sensible ppc restrictions, lucrative affiliate commissions and targets, good cookie dates, great graphics, oodles of content, but what makes it even better is a merchant that understands affiliates and affiliate marketing. Good basic ingredients for a successful affiliate program.LoveHoney.co.uk affiliate program has gathered considerable pace in the last few months, affiliates have been slow to begin with but once they put their links up, bang! “ A nice little converter”. Some affiliates have seen that they can fit LoveHoney.co.uk (specialises in adult themed products) into their main stream sites by honing in on the lingerie sections, or the health sections. Condoms being acceptable and accepted by the majority of people. You see consumers are by and large very curious about adult products most will openly say they don’t own any adult products but we kinda know that that’s not the case for a lot of them. If you’re the bashful type or you think your customers are the bashful type, then help yourself and them out. See a whole paragraph and I have not mentioned the “S” word once. Has any one clocked the Durex Playring advert? they don’t mention the “S” word once either. LoveHoney.co.uk was even featured in the Guardian (even the middle classes have sex) We know sales are rocking so some one is buying them. It’s when you shove the product in your visitor’s face without even so much as a reason why its there, which can be off putting, so Softly softly does it.
Maybe it’s because Richard Longhurst of LoveHoney.co.uk used to be an affiliate. Has it really been seven years since I was cutting a commission cheque for him? Working with an affiliate friendly and affiliate savvy merchant is a real pleasure. How many merchants go above and beyond the call of duty when it comes to factoring in time and resources into developing a set of tools, where by all the affiliate has to remember is their affiliate ID number? This is our third client that has really pushed boat out and thought about their affiliate partner’s not just as short term sales people but as long term partners.Announcing the LoveHoney.co.uk affiliate centre, just in time for the Christmas rush, which I hasten to add seems to be kicking in.
Hop across and just bring your affiliatefuture.co.uk affiliate id number with you (note you dont have to be logged in to affiliatefuture to use this). I should point out that you should be an existing affiliate within the LoveHoney.co.uk affiliate program. All the content links are dynamic, meaning you upload the code once and LoveHoney does the rest. Meaning you get fresh new content every day or week. If you chose best sellers, they remain quite consistent so these may not change too frequently. When Christmas is over, LoveHoney change the graphics to be LoveHoney Sale, then Valentine’s, then generic, then Easter…Affiliates only have to deploy the code once and the products and the theming will update automatically forever.
1. Enter your affiliate code and check the box if you are an Affiliate Future affiliate.
2. Choose the style of content unit you would like to display. There are 3 to choose – 2 that are 468 pixels wide and one that is 120 pixels wide.3. Choose the type of product you would like your content unit to show.
4. Choose how many products you would like to show.
5. Choose whether you would like to show most popular or new products. Most popular products are based on historical sales data – these convert well but won’t change very often. New products will change frequently but may contain unproven products.
6. Click the Create Code button. You can see a preview of your content unit at the bottom of the screen. Click in the grey box to cut and paste your content unit’s code on to your Web site.
7. Optionally, you can restrict the products shown to a specific brand. For example, you might show just the Vibrators made by LoveHoney, or the books written by Tracey Cox, or the Lingerie by Dreamgirl. After you have chosen a product type, the Brands drop-down menu will show just the brands that sell products of that type.
Whats the catch? We would truly love to show case affiliates websites who are using these links, so if and when you start using these links, drop us a line or Richard, or post a reply on this blog and give us the link to where we can see them in their full glory. jess or catherine at affiliateprogramadvice.com or richard at LoveHoney.co.uk

Hi Ray
Just spoke to Richard, the answer is no. You need to have a separate link like you are already doing at the top of your page.
I cant find an easy way without making your visitors jump through hoops re combining the dynamic unit with the voucher page. So at this moment in time its a no can do. But… food for thought.
Cheers
Js 🙂
I’m promoting the content unit at http://www.shopcodes.co.uk/promotion/shops/love-honey.php with an Exclusive code.
If a customer clicks on the content unit direct, are they able to find the voucher code page/box?
